So, we’ve unfortunately had to take some time off recently to take care of personal business, but we’re back now – just in time for Christmas and, more importantly, with a competition to be won!
We here at ThreeSistersEmporium have decided to celebrate the holiday spirit with a little giveaway, featuring this stunning handmade Amethyst and Swarovski Pearl Bracelet;
All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is follow this link to our fb page and, once there, leave a comment on the competition post on the main page. That’s it! Now go, hurry, before the competition ends!
Ever since I started making wire jewellery, I seem to keep finding random rings everywhere – in drawers, in my bead boxes, in my scrap jars and under the desk; I’m beginning to think that maybe this is becoming a problem! I’m afraid making rings has become something of an addiction for me; whenever I hit a roadblock in another design, or whenever I hit a creative block and can’t think of anything else to make, I make a ring. It’s so simple and therapeutic, I have literally spent whole days making nothing but wire rings; above you can see just a small selection of the many rings I seem to have collected in the last few weeks.
So, what do we do when we have a habit that we just can’t seem to kick? Why, we make a tutorial and get everyone else addicted too! If you’d like to learn how to make one of these beautiful wire rings for yourself, be sure to keep reading after the jump 🙂

I’ve been working on a lot of new jewellery designs recently, primarily because we have a charity event coming up on our calendar which is to raise money for the Oncology Unit at Lincoln Hospital (Lincolnshire, UK). The fundraiser has been arranged by our Aunt, and is a huge thank you from us to the nurses at Waddington Unit for the many years of hard work they gave us in taking care of our Mother, who suffered from cancer for almost twenty years before the doctors finally lost hope and told us there was nothing else they could do. If you’ve ever known anyone who has been treated for cancer, or have ever visited an oncology ward in a hospital, you’ll know just how hard the nurses work to ensure their patients are comfortable and happy, and we’d like to do our bit to make sure they can keep helping people for many years into the future 🙂 If you happen to live in the area, or can travel down, please do come along and help support this great cause!
As such, I’ve been creating a wide range of jewellery items specifically for the event, including a number of one of a kind pieces which will only be available to win in the raffle! Check out the gallery below if you’d like to see what I’ve been working on 🙂

So far I’ve made two lists of my top 5 jewellery tutorials, one for beginner artists, and one for more experienced designers. Whilst going through my personal bookmark collection however, I came across a couple of tutorials that I saved, hoping that one day I’d be able to come back and create the wonderful jewellery they teach. Well, looking at them again now, I still like to think I’ll be able to make them one day… unfortunately, that day is a very, very long way off!
If you yourself are the kind of daring soul that loves a challenge, or likes to play through life on Master Difficulty, you’re more than welcome to try your hand at them. Do make sure you post your results in the comments though; I’d love to see if anyone can actually make these designs!
And so I present to you my –

In my last post we took a look at some of the wonderful jewellery tutorials available for free around the web, teaching everything from basic ring-making to slightly more advanced wire sculpture. Seeing as the tutorials featured in that post were aimed almost solely at the beginner artist however, I decided to make a second post with tutorials for an artist who already has a more advanced skill set. So, here are my…

As a jewellery designer, I am constantly scouring the web for sources of inspiration and information. I love to learn new techniques and try new things, and am always striving for perfection in my work. My jewellery board on Pinterest currently has over 600 pins (which isn’t as many as I had thought…better get pinning!) and whilst it’s a fantastic place for inspiration and keeping up with current trends, my favourite ever thing is waking up in the morning to find another jewellery tutorial on my front page.
So, for those of you who don’t have pinterest however, or are simply looking for a new idea or new technique to try, I present to you my;
